Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District presented with Distinguished Academy Awards at NAF Conference in Detroit
At the National Academy Foundation (NAF) NEXT Conference in Detroit this month, Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District Superintendent Yolanda Valdez (far right) and the district’s academy teams were presented Distinguished Academy Awards by NAF President J.D. Hoye (center). The district’s Academy of Health Sciences and its Academy of Engineering and Green Technology were 2 of only 17 National Distinguished Academies recognized. Lisa Castillo, the district’s director of College and Career Ready Programs, co-presented a session entitled “The Road to Distinguished” at the conference.
